Meet Tootsie Tootsie came to our rescue from a local shelter after arriving there in very difficult circumstances. She was extremely pregnant when she entered the shelter and gave birth shortly after arriving. Sadly, none of her babies survived. Tootsie herself was in rough shape at the time, so we welcomed her into our rescue to give her the care, comfort, and time she needed to heal both physically and emotionally. With proper veterinary care and lots of TLC, Tootsie has made a wonderful recovery and is now doing well medically! At this time, the only ongoing care she requires is daily eye drops to keep her comfortable and healthy. Otherwise, she’s enjoying life and finally getting the chance to relax. Tootsie is now ready to find a loving home where she can spend her golden years being cherished the way she deserves. Her foster mama says she's a little bossy, a little sassy and a whole bunch of sweet. She loves belly rubs, kisses, long naps & short walks and all the snacks. She would be perfectly happy as an only dog, soaking up all the attention, but she could also live with another laid-back, submissive pup who respects her calm lifestyle.
