About Nina
Nina is a joyful and spirited senior Pit Bull Terrier navigating a new chapter after her former owner was hospitalized. She’s all about playing with toys and especially lights up during a game of tug-of-war. Outdoors, Nina shows off a unique happy hop, guaranteed to make anyone smile. Walks are a highlight for her; she’s polite on a harness, savoring every trail and sniffing adventure. Nina appreciates kindness, taking treats gently and warming up quickly to anyone offering affection—head scratches are a clear favorite. She’s an excellent communicator, too, letting you know when it’s door-tapping time for a stroll. Rain won't slow her down unless it’s pouring—otherwise, she’s ready to be out and about. Nina drinks plenty of water, keeps company with anyone (she’s particularly sweet to puppies through fences), and you’ll make a lot of friends just by being with her. At home, she’ll lounge on the balcony, chew her ball, share her snacks, or curl up with you for a movie. Her stubborn streak emerges if she has somewhere she’d like to go; don’t be surprised if she puts on a little protest. Nina even looks forward to UPS trucks, expecting treats and waiting like a kid after the ice cream truck. If you’ve been hoping for a social, gentle, but playful wing-woman, Nina has you covered.
