About Opal
Opal is a six-month-old mixed-breed pup with German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd in her, sporting a medium black and white coat and a mesmerizing pale blue eye. She’s still growing, currently slim but already showing a strong, athletic frame that her vet expects to fill out and get a little bigger in the coming months. Naturally friendly and playful, Opal loves giving kisses, getting hugs, and soaking up attention—especially from teenagers. She’s social with other dogs, making her a great addition for families who already have one. Opal favors belly rubs, enjoys play, and likes to investigate her surroundings but isn’t the first one to rush into things—she prefers to hang back and survey the action. She’s learning basic commands and knows how to sit in her crate for meals. Leash walking is still a work in progress for her: she’s smart but can get shy or nervous in new situations, sometimes opting to belly-crawl instead of walk. Opal’s new foster is helping her gain confidence, so she’s making quick improvements with patience and positive reinforcement. She’s quiet, sweet, and genuinely affectionate, curious about the world but happiest when loved on by her humans. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
