This Domestic Short Hair cat is a male senior with a beautiful brown or chocolate coat. He is of medium size and has been neutered, with his vaccinations up to date. Mr. Bucket is currently in the care of Stray Cat Alliance, and he has a high thyroid, which is being managed with daily medication.

His surrender story touched many hearts: after losing the family members he cherished—his days spent watching TV with them—he suddenly found himself alone and homeless, terrified in an unfamiliar place. No wonder he was scared! Yet, the notes from his former family revealed a completely different cat: one who is friendly, affectionate, and relaxed in the comfort of a loving home. Mr. Bucket loves playing catch with toy mice, chasing balls and laser pointers, and adores catnip toys. He also enjoys using cardboard scratchers and a scratching post. Since arriving in foster care, Mr. Bucket has slowly revealed his true, mushy personality. He’s still a bit shy and may hide under the bed when alone, but as soon as someone enters the room, he pops out, rubbing against legs and purring to show how much he craves human companionship. Watching him rediscover the joys of home life is heartwarming, and everyone is eager for him to find his forever family. After a thorough medical exam, Mr. Bucket was found to be healthy, aside from a high thyroid for which he now takes a small daily pill. Because this went untreated for a while, he developed a temporary cardiac issue, which is currently managed with a tiny quarter-pill each day for just a few months. At his last check-up, the cardiologist declared his heart looks fine, and by his next recheck in June 2026, the issue will likely be fully resolved as his thyroid medication continues its work. Born under the sign of Pisces, Mr. Bucket certainly shows that gentle and loving Pisces nature! He is truly a kind and special boy who deserves a calm, loving home, ideally with someone who has some previous cat experience and who won’t leave him alone for long periods.
