About Precious
Precious is a sweet and stunning senior kitty with the heart of a kitten and the gentle soul of a wise companion. What makes Precious truly special is her unwavering devotion to her people. She is a dedicated lap cat who wants nothing more than to be by your side. If you’re sitting on the couch, she’ll be napping on your lap, and when it’s time to turn in for the night, she loves to sleep right on your chest or curled up against your side. Precious offers the kind of steady, warm companionship that only a senior cat can provide, making her the perfect partner for quiet afternoons and cozy nights. While she may take a little time to adjust to new surroundings, she has settled beautifully into her foster home and, like any distinguished older lady, is a confident and social host when new people come to visit. At fifteen years young, Precious proves that age is just a number. She is surprisingly active and enjoys several enthusiastic play sessions every day. Her absolute favorite is her fishing-rod toy, which she chases with the kind of gusto that puts younger cats to shame. Watching her transform from a sleepy lap warmer into an agile huntress is a daily joy for her fosters, and she is always happy when someone is ready to cast the line for her. To keep her feeling her best, Precious is a true wet-food connoisseur who avoids dry kibble entirely. She is currently on a kidney-support wet food diet as a proactive precaution for the very early stages of kidney disease. This simple routine helps keep her hydrated and healthy so she can enjoy her golden years. Precious is looking for a soft place to land where she can be pampered and adored. If you have a lap that needs warming and a heart ready for a devoted companion, she would love to meet you. Interested in adopting Precious? Follow the instructions below! -------- If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://thecatconnection.org/adopt/adoption-application/ Following the instructions and filling out this application rather than emailing us will get you a quicker response. Please also consider fostering as an alternative to adoption. To learn more, go to: http://thecatconnection.org/get-involved/foster/ Adoption Fee (effective 3/15/24) < 12 mos. $375 1-4 yrs $300 5-9 yrs. $250 10+ yrs. $125 These fees fund spay/neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two! The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. To find out more about us, please visit our website: http://thecatconnection.org/
