AvailablePierce is a young, medium-sized male Domestic Short Hair with a short, soft black coat. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and house trained. Pierce currently lives in Detroit Lakes, MN and would do best in an adult home where he can feel safe and comfortable with his sibling.
About Pierce
Pierce and his sister Meryl are a tightly bonded pair, having mastered the art of loving from a safe distance. These young siblings prefer to observe the world from the highest shelf, nestled together in a velvet blur, only coming alive for a toy when no one’s looking too closely. Pierce’s enormous golden eyes and perfect black coat make him striking, but he’s as shy as he is beautiful. Petting is allowed—on his terms—and he’ll quietly back away after the briefest contact, always polite but ever the mystery. He’ll never say yes to being picked up, and approaches his humans with the gradual trust of a wild bird learning to settle in your hand. Pierce interacts best with Meryl but is calm and non-reactive around other gentle cats. A patient, adult-only home suits him, somewhere quiet with plenty of perches and space to watch or play with his sister. Over time and with understanding, he may warm up enough to join you at the foot of your bed, but only if you earn it. If you seek a pair of secretive, captivating cats who appreciate space, Pierce and his sister will win you over the slow and subtle way. They’re in Detroit Lakes, MN and visitors are welcome by appointment. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
