Shadow is a large, black Shepherd mix who thrives with constant activity and someone who understands active breeds. He’s about five years old and shines brightest when he’s outside chasing a ball or out running with a person who can keep up with his exercise needs. His training is impressive—his previous owners have invested a lot of time, and the results are clear. Shadow’s happiest with a consistent routine, regular high-energy exercise, and someone who will keep him mentally and physically satisfied. Shadow is best suited to an all-adult home, no exceptions for children. He gets along with other dogs—he’s done well at doggy daycare and can live with one other dog—but prefers to be the center of attention. In social situations outside the home, Shadow is friendly with people, but at home he’s protective and reactive to visitors and must be kenneled when guests are over. His family is rehoming him because he is not comfortable around their new baby—he has shown he’s not suited for homes with children.
