Shadow is a large, black Shepherd mix who thrives with constant activity and someone who understands active breeds. Heās about five years old and shines brightest when heās outside chasing a ball or out running with a person who can keep up with his exercise needs. His training is impressiveāhis previous owners have invested a lot of time, and the results are clear. Shadowās happiest with a consistent routine, regular high-energy exercise, and someone who will keep him mentally and physically satisfied. Shadow is best suited to an all-adult home, no exceptions for children. He gets along with other dogsāheās done well at doggy daycare and can live with one other dogābut prefers to be the center of attention. In social situations outside the home, Shadow is friendly with people, but at home heās protective and reactive to visitors and must be kenneled when guests are over. His family is rehoming him because he is not comfortable around their new babyāhe has shown heās not suited for homes with children. A dog-savvy, active adopter who recognizes dog body language is a must for Shadow. He needs a job, lots of movement, and someone willing to make exercise a priority. Heās neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and covered for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
