This strong, handsome young man arrived to our shelter as a stray. It takes him a little time to warm up to strangers, but once he does he's all smiles and wags. Brando enjoys attention from humans and seems to seek the company of other dogs. He doesn't pay much attention to the cats at our shelter. Brando is a compact 50 pounds and, at 2-3 years old, has his whole life ahead. This bright-eyed happy boy will bring joy and energy to the person or people who bring him home and love him. The Powell County Animal Shelter is at 121 Echo Hollow Road, Clay City, KY. We can arrange to meet you at the shelter during or after open hours at a time that works for you. Shelter hours are 9-3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 10 to noon on Saturday. It is always best to make an appointment by texting or calling 859-420-0175. Adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$200. The fee covers the mandatory spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, dewormer, and first round of flea and tick preventatives.
