Bongo
AvailableBongo is a young, large, male Domestic Short Hair with a brown tabby coat and a short coat length. He is neutered, vaccinated, and house trained. Bongo currently lives in Sequim, WA, waiting for the right adopter who understands his independent nature.
About Bongo
Bongo is about 2 to 3 years old and grew up in a group of outdoor cats on the Peninsula, which shaped him into a confident and high-energy cat. Life outside taught Bongo to look out for himself, so he likes things his own way and seems happiest as the only pet. He’s more than fine being indoors if there’s a safe outdoor spot he can access. At Safe Haven, he’s made it clear he likes having his own territory. Bongo doesn’t have experience with dogs and hasn’t shown much interest in sharing his space with other animals or small children. He’ll thrive with someone who truly understands cats and has the patience for a quirky, sometimes unpredictable companion. Bongo isn’t for beginners — he needs experienced cat people who respect his boundaries. If you're looking for an independent character and know how to “speak Cat,” he might be your match.
