About Tut

Tut lost his longtime home last November when his owner passed away, landing him here with us. He quickly charmed everyone at the rescue with his strong personality and quiet routines. Estimated to be between 13 and 16 years old, Tut has stayed resilient through some medical bumps—a tough tooth issue and the recent discovery of a possible heart condition, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He needs regular check-ups now (echocardiograms every 6 to 12 months) and may need heart medication down the line. Dental work has left him feeling much better, and the occasional eye ointment keeps him comfortable, though his vision remains sharp. Tut marches to the beat of his own drum, prowling every corner of the adoption center before collapsing for a nap—usually on the manager’s computer chair. He peppers his days with a burst of playful energy but isn't one to tangle for dominance. In fact, Tut gets along best as a solo cat or with a particularly kind feline companion, since pushier cats have made his life tense in the past. He’s lived enough to know what he likes: independence, comfort, and a gentle human touch. Your new best friend is just one click away.
