About Archie
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Archie is a 12-year-old Terrier/Chihuahua mix who recently found himself back with the rescue after his family lost their home, but he is adjusting beautifully in foster care and is ready to settle down with a loving family. Cuddles are his specialty, and he is happiest curled up in a lap, but don’t let his age fool you—he still has plenty of pep and loves exploring at the dog beach or tagging along for walks and outings. Archie's even temperament makes him a wonderful companion for a relaxed household, and he's proven to get along with all animals and people, including babies and toddlers from his previous home! Archie is housebroken, crate trained, and walks politely on a leash. He rarely barks and is always well-mannered. Since he’s now a senior, he would thrive best in a home without high-energy young kids, where he can soak up extra love and attention. Archie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, with a recent dental and a clean bill of health from the vet—just a little overweight, so he’s watching his diet. Despite having most of his teeth pulled, he does perfectly fine eating kibble. Archie is ready to find a forever family who will spoil him with comfort and affection for his golden years.
