He sniffs treats offered by hand but then leans back when reaching close. He flattens his ears and lip licks when pet on the head and receiving cheek rubs. When stroking his body, he remains tenses with his tail wrapped tight around his body and then he looks back at the assessor's hand and hisses. Pick up was not attempted in order to reduce stress.
