Meet Pepper! Pepper is a 1-year-old Maine Coon mix with a gentle heart and a deeply loving personality. She came from the same hoarding situation as several of our other cats, and while she can be a little shy at first, she has so much love waiting just beneath the surface. Genetically, Pepper is primarily Maine Coon (approximately 46–50%), mixed with 3–5 other purebred breeds due to intentional cross-breeding. She carries that classic Maine Coon softness — expressive, loyal, and deeply bonded to her people once she feels safe. Pepper may hide from new people at first and needs a little time to warm up, but once she gets to know you, she transforms into an extremely affectionate and devoted companion. When she chooses you as her person, the bond is incredibly special. She loves attention, gentle affection, and staying close to the humans she trusts. She does wonderfully with other cats and would likely enjoy having a feline companion in the home. Due to her timid nature, she would do best with older children (12+) who understand how to approach her calmly and respectfully. With proper introductions and time to adjust, she could also do well with dogs. Pepper is looking for a patient, loving home that will give her the time she needs to blossom.
