Meet Henry VIII, a true "rags to riches" story in the making! This handsome 3-year-old brown tabby (DSH) didn't start his life in a palace; he actually came to us from the horse barns at the local racetrack. Sadly, it’s common for cats to be brought in for the racing season and then left behind once it ends. Henry may have had a rough start, but he is quickly learning the perks of the royal treatment. While he was a bit shy and didn't play much at first, he’s blossomed into a total sweetheart who is officially "learning how to be a people cat." He’ll now confidently walk right up to you to advocate for his favorite thing: head scratches and pets. Henry has shown some curiosity toward other cats through the glass, but he might prefer to be the only king of his castle for now.
