Apply to Adopt Me! Prince is a sweet 11-12yo, 15-lb Maltese mix. He is a mellow senior booy who loves being close to his people. He is fully house trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night, either in bed with his person or in his own cozy bed. This low-to-medium energy guy enjoys calm walks on harness and leash and is a relaxed companion who does not require a lot of exercise to be happy. Prince enjoys snuggling up on a soft bed or blanket and spending quiet time on the couch. He rides well in the car and stays calm and comfortable during trips. While generally quiet and easygoing, he does experience some separation anxiety and may bark when left alone. He does well with other dogs and a fur sibling in the home may help with this. We are requiring a calm all-adult household with no young children. Prince came to Lil Rascals when his human dad passed away; though he is friendly to both women and men, he seems partial to men, so we prefer the household have a male. He has a mild heart murmur that currently does not require medication and a cataract in his right eye but he does not seem to be bothered by it and gets around without any issues whatsoever. Prince has had two dentals with extractions with our rescue; continued dental care will be important for him in the future. You will love Prince for his gentle, affectionate nature, and the way he happily settles in close to his favorite people.
