Hi, I’m Blue! I’m a 1-year-old male Catahoula Leopard Dog/Heeler mix weighing about 28 pounds, and I’m a gentle, tender-hearted guy who’s learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Mississippi after running out of time simply because the shelter ran out of space. Thankfully, I was given a second chance, and now I’m safe and being fostered in Adrian, Michigan while I wait for my forever family. My foster mom says I’m the sweetest little boy. I love spending time outside, especially playing with my foster brother, and I’m proud to say I haven’t had a single accident in the house — I’ve got great manners! I’m also a big fan of toys (especially ones I can chew) and love carrying them around with me. I’m still building my confidence and learning that people are safe, but I try every day and get a little braver all the time. I do wonderfully with other dogs and have been great with kids too. I would thrive in a patient, loving home that will continue helping me grow into the confident boy I’m meant to be. With reassurance and kindness, I’m sure to blossom into the most loyal companion. I come neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and my adoption fee is $250.
