About Thumbs
Thumbs, also known as Toby, is a one-year-old, forty-eight pound neutered male with shepherd, husky, beagle, and hound in his mix. He’s got soulful eyes and a gentle, loving nature. Toby absolutely thrives around other dogs and confidently lets more dominant pups take the lead while still managing to charm everyone in the room. He gets along well with cats and older kids, and is a fan of running, fetching, exploring the yard, and, of course, snuggling up for a belly rub. Though he’s been through some rough patches with people in the past, Toby is smart and open to new experiences. Strangers and car rides can make him nervous, but with a patient hand he adapts and learns quickly—he already knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and is both house and crate trained. Toby isn’t overly treat-motivated; he just truly wants to please his people. He does best in a home with another dog, experienced or patient owners, older kids, and a fenced-in yard. Once you win Toby over, you’ll have a deeply loyal companion. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
