Gimli is a sweet and playful guy from Socorro that was transferred to AHNM with his "siblings" Strider and Legolas. Gimli is shy when first meeting people and still getting used to walking on leash. He likes to play with other dogs but is also content to hang out by himself with a bone or toy. Gimli gently asks for hugs and affection. He was an outside dog for most of his life, so he's still getting used to meeting new people in new places. He would love a yard where he can play with a buddy or relax by your side. After some time to decompress, Gimli has started to show his goofy personality. He would really benefit from a friendly dog that can teach him the ropes and help him grow into a confident dog. Since he is shy with new people, please make sure to bring your family in to meet him, especially any kiddos! Gimli needs a patient family that can provide him with safety and comfort.
