He’s currently heartworm positive and being treated using the safe, slow-kill method—he’ll come to his new home with a 6-month supply of heartworm prevention pills (administered every 15 days) and will need a retest at the 6-month mark. His adopters will continue this straightforward treatment to get him fully cleared. His $300 adoption fee covers all the essentials: parvo/distemper vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella, microchip, heartworm testing, and his spay/neuter (if not already completed).
