Bosco is one of five puppies surrendered to rescue after an unexpected “oops” litter when a neighbor’s dog jumped a fence. He was born on December 12 to a 10-lb Chihuahua mix mom and a medium-sized mixed breed dad. A DNA test shows the puppies are half Chihuahua with 15 other breeds mixed in—making them true “Heinz 57” pups. Bosco is the smallest of the litter and the most Chihuahua-like in appearance. At 3 months old, he weighs about 7 pounds. He is currently in foster care with his brother Charlie and sister Jujubee, and the trio spends most of their days happily playing together. Bosco is friendly with both people and other dogs. He loves being held and is generous with puppy kisses! He is doing well learning to use potty pads and has a healthy appetite. Bosco has received his first puppy vaccination, has been dewormed, and will be neutered as part of his adoption. Bosco is a happy, healthy puppy, and we would love to see him placed in a home with another puppy-friendly dog so he has a playmate and role model as he grows.
