Hi there, I’m Topaz. I’m almost 3 years old and about 45–50 pounds. Life wasn’t always kind to me before rescue, but I’ve come a long way. I’ve been waiting here for over a year now—hoping someone will finally see me. I’m crate trained and house trained, though I’ve spent a lot of time in kennels, so I’ll need a little patience while I adjust to home life again. I walk on a leash but can pull sometimes—I’m smart and eager to learn, so with a little structure I’ll get better fast. I love people and want to be part of your world. Because I’m still learning good social skills, I’d do best as the only dog, or with someone who understands how to build safe, positive relationships between dogs. No small kids, please—I don’t like when anyone messes with my food. I’ve been overlooked for so long, but I have so much love to give. All I need is a chance.
