This sweet boy is equal parts goofy hound and affectionate shadow. When he’s not busy investigating the world with that incredible nose, Chit is happiest leaning into his people for pets and soaking up attention. He’s the kind of dog who melts right into you the moment he realizes you’re there to love on him. Before coming to MAS, Chit was seized from his previous home where he lived alongside 7 other dogs, 12 cats, and children. Because of that background, he’s experienced quite a bit of change and is still building confidence, especially around men. With a little patience and kindness, though, his sweet nature shines through. True to his Bloodhound roots, Chit is also quite the vocalist—so if you love the signature hound “talking,” he’ll happily provide the soundtrack. Chit also arrived with a condition called entropion, where the eyelids roll inward and can irritate the eye. The good news is that he has had surgery to correct it, and he’s feeling much more comfortable now.
