Found abandoned outside, scared and alone, with patience, kindness, and a safe foster home, he is discovering that humans can be trusted and loved. Today, Jerry has blossomed into a lovely house cat who enjoys the comfort of home life. He’s especially fond of watching birds from the window, and he loves observing the two resident cats in his foster home—carefully studying their every move and learning from them as he grows more confident each day. While Jerry is now very relaxed and affectionate with his foster parents, he is still a little shy with new people. Because of this, he would do best in a calm, patient home where he can continue building his confidence at his own pace. A person who works from home would be wonderful for Jerry, giving him the steady presence and reassurance he thrives on. Jerry could do well in a home with older, respectful children who understand his need for patience and gentle interactions. With time, consistency, and love, Jerry will continue to blossom into a devoted companion. Our space is very limited as we don't have a facility. Laurel Cats does not have a shelter or storefront. Our kittens and cats are placed in the homes of loving volunteer fosters until they are adopted. This means our cats are accustomed to being handled and loved.
