Meet Betsy! She is as sweet and wiggly as they come. If you want a dog that will run and jump into your lap, Betsy is your girl. Here are more details about Betsy: -She is friendly with everyone she meets. No one is a stranger to her. She would do well with a big family or a small one. -We think should do well with children and cats. -Dog friendly. If you have a dog in the home currently, we would schedule a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along. -Betsy is all puppy. She is curious, excited, loves to sniff around, and needs basic obiedience training. We are working on her manners here but in the home basic training would need to be continued. -She is also very food motivated so training should be a breeze. If you are ready for a puppy and have the time for Betsy, she would really like to meet you. We recommend taking your new puppy to puppy classes. Puppy classes are a great way for your pup to meet other dogs, build confidence, and learn manners. Always keep training positive, rewarding, and fun. We focus on rewarding good behavior and building trust. No shock collars, prong collars, or choke chains needed. If you need a few references on dog training facilities that offer puppy classes, just ask! We know a lot of great positive reinforcement trainers. The more positive experiences a puppy has now, the more likely they will grow into a happy, well adjusted adult dog. If your application was approved and you received a call back from the Humane Society of Macomb for a meet and greet, plan to take the animal home that day.
