Meet Violet: A Gentle Soul Ready for Her Forever ​ Violet is a beautiful young cat, estimated to be between 1 and 2 years old, who is officially searching for a place to call her own. ​ Her journey hasn't been the easiest; she arrived as a devoted mother from an overcrowded shelter, nursing and caring for her four kittens. Now that her little ones are grown and ready for their own adventures, it is finally Violet’s turn to be pampered and loved. ​ Her Personality ​Violet is the definition of "sweet and steady." While she can be a little shy in new environments or when meeting new people, her true colors shine through with just a bit of patience. ​The Purr Machine: Once she feels safe, her motor starts running! She is a prolific purrer who truly enjoys the company of her humans. ​Affectionate: She absolutely loves head scratches and pets. If you’re looking for a companion who appreciates a gentle touch, Violet is your girl. ​ Motivated by Snacks: Violet is a huge fan of treats! This makes her very easy to win over; a few tasty morsels are the fastest way to her heart and a great tool for building her confidence. ​The Ideal Home ​Violet would thrive in a home that understands she might need a few days to decompress and find her footing. Because she is still young, she has plenty of years of love to give and would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a quiet, affectionate companion. Adopters must live within 75 miles of Racine, WI. Adoption fee for one cat is $100.00, two for $150.00. This radius is in place due to ongoing medical care we provide post-adoption. Most of our cats are in our office and you can come meet them. For those, we look to have an approved application prior to sending someone to a private residence. If you are interested in adoption, please complete an application. There is no cost or obligation to apply. All cats will be up to date on vaccines, spay/neutered*, microchipped and a 30-day health certificate. *If they are too young to be altered, the fee includes spay/neutered at one of our preferred clinics.
