About Fanny Mae Community Post
**This is not an FCHS dog—reach out to owner directly** Fanny Mae has had quite a journey, and now she’s ready for the happy ending she deserves. This young hound (estimated to be under two years old) showed up last December skin and bones. With a little care, patience, and a lot of love, she bounced back to health and surprised everyone by welcoming a litter of healthy puppies. Over the past month, each of her pups has found a home of their own, and now it’s finally Fanny Mae’s turn. True to her hound nature, Fanny Mae is curious, affectionate, and full of heart. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up she’s incredibly loving and will absolutely steal your heart. She gets along great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. She’s also good with kids once she’s had a moment to settle down. Fanny Mae is still a young dog and has that joyful, bouncy energy — she may jump up when she’s excited and would benefit from a little continued training and structure. One thing to know: she does enjoy chasing cats, so a cat-free home would likely be best for her. Ready to meet this sweet spirit? Call Amber at 540-598-0039. --- This is a courtesy post.
