She has a calm and easygoing personality and tends to be more focused on her people and her toys than on other dogs. So far, Charlene has met a couple of dogs and showed little interest in them. She was polite and calm, allowing them to sniff her while she simply stood there, but she preferred to go about her own business. At home, she enjoys playing with her stuffies, bones, and antlers, and she especially loves a good game of fetch. Toss her a tennis ball and she’ll happily bring it right back to you. Charlene is currently pee pad trained and is doing well with that routine. She is still learning that outside is the place to potty, and her foster is working with her on that every day. She typically only goes potty once a day right now. With consistency and a routine in her new home, she should continue to make progress. She is also wonderfully crate trained. Charlene goes right into her crate when her foster leaves the house or at bedtime without any fuss. She settles in easily, never cries or barks, and sleeps quietly through the night. In fact, she’s an incredibly quiet dog overall and rarely barks. Charlene would do well in a home looking for a calm, affectionate companion who enjoys playing with her toys, a little fetch time, and relaxing with her people. She’s a gentle soul who will thrive with patience, love, and a family ready to help her continue learning the routines of home life.
