About Blueberry
This could be the start of something paw-some. Blueberry is a charming 6-year-old Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund mix ready to find his new forever home. He was previously adopted but is being returned due to not fitting in with the family's toddler. Blueberry forms strong bonds with adults, showing loyalty and affection, though he can display resource guarding of his people. With dog sitters and when separated from his primary caretakers, he does very well and shows no signs of aggression. He's looking for a dog-savvy owner willing to invest time in helping him settle in, understand boundaries, and feel secure in his environment. Blueberry is eager to meet a new family ready to commit to his care and happiness. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Blueberry
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund mixes generally adapt well to homes where they can be close to their families, whether in an apartment or a house. They benefit from a stable, structured home environment that provides companionship and routine.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
These mixes enjoy having regular access to outdoor spaces for walks and play, but they do not require a large yard. Daily exercise and enrichment are more important than a big yard for their happiness.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund mixes can do well with older children who understand dog boundaries, though they may not be the best fit for homes with very young children, especially if resource guarding is a concern.
