Born around March 11, 2025, this charming boy weighs 15.7 pounds, making him a great small-to-medium sized companion for a loving home. Mark came from a hoarding situation where he was one of 29 dogs, so life hasn’t always been easy for him. Because of that, he may take a few minutes to warm up to new people. But once you approach him gently and offer slow, reassuring pets, you’ll see his guard melt away—and that’s when his affectionate side shines through. Sadly, Mark did not receive heartworm prevention earlier in life and tested heartworm positive. The good news is that he has already been treated and is doing well! He just needs to take medication for 30 more days to complete his recovery and get back to feeling his best. Mark gets along wonderfully with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. He is very smart and eager to connect with people, especially once he feels safe. With a patient and loving family willing to give him time to adjust, he will grow into a loyal and devoted companion. He’s still learning some basics, including walking on a leash, but with consistency and kindness he will quickly improve.
