About Hank Affectionate Puppy

Meet Hank! Hank is a sweet, healthy, affectionate and adorable 8-month-old puppy looking for a great new home. His breed mix is anyone's guess but we think he might be a Labrador/Staffy mix. This boy is a real love. He follows his rescuer from room to room wanting connection with her and the other dogs in the house, and he especially loves her husband. When her husband is around, Hank’s tail wags so hard his whole rear end shakes! He just really likes to be around people and animals. When the day is over, he settles down nicely and he loves his soft bed. This sweet boy is just a puppy! He’s quickly learning his basic doggie skills like housetraining, crate-training and leash training, and his rescuer says he’s very good on a leash. He’s food-motivated and will sit when asked. Hank was rescued from Kansas City, and his rescuer has kindly taken him in to help him find a great home. There are already two other dogs in the household so she can’t formally adopt him, but she will foster him there as long as is needed. Hank has learned to use the dog door to go in and out. He loves to play with one of his foster dog sibs, and he’s done really well at doggie daycare. He hasn’t met a dog he doesn’t like! The daycare staff say he’s a role model citizen. He loves to sleep in his crate, loves his chew toys, and he loves people. He’s neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He’s untested with cats and kids, so we’re saying (because of his puppy exuberance) no kids under the age of 10, please and thanks. We think he’ll thrive with an adopter who can make him feel loved and give him good socialization, and take him on lots of adventures (hiking, long walks, road trips) with the stimulation he’ll need to become a Really Great Dog. His adopter(s) will need to give him continued training with a force-free trainer, and we have a list of good trainers we can recommend. He’ll need active and loving adopters who can bond with him and spend a lot of time with him. For more info and/or to apply to adopt Hank, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
