About Nora
Nora was found alone in the snow. Someone had thrown her away as if she were nothing — leaving her to fend for herself on the streets in the dead of winter. For nearly 30 long days, this tiny girl somehow survived: freezing temperatures, constant hunger, no shelter, and no one to keep her safe. We can only imagine how frightened and confused she must have been. Then something remarkable happened. A dedicated TNR group was working on a project nearby, setting humane traps to help local street cats. Somehow, Nora found her way into one of those traps. Hunger led her there — but in truth, that trap saved her life. When the volunteer brought her to the veterinary clinic, the truth was immediately obvious: This was not a feral cat. This was someone’s former house baby. A gentle, trusting little soul who once knew warmth, food, and the comfort of human hands. A cat who had clearly been loved at some point — and then abandoned. The volunteer called us right away. Of course, we said yes. Within just a few days, Nora showed us exactly who she is. She is unbelievably sweet — soft, affectionate, and deeply loving. All she wants is to be close to people. She melts into your arms when you pick her up, leans into every gentle touch, and looks at you with eyes that seem to say: "Thank you for noticing me." Every single staff member at the veterinary clinic fell in love with her. It’s impossible not to. She also does beautifully with other cats and would make a wonderful companion in a calm, loving home. Nora is our true Black Sugar — rare, precious, and impossibly sweet. Now she just needs the one thing she has been missing: a forever family who will never abandon her again. Nora is fully vetted and ready for adoption: • About 1 year old • Spayed • Vaccinated (Rabies & FVRCP) • Tested negative for FeLV/FIV • Healthy wellness exam • Ears cleaned and tested negative for infection • Dewormed twice • Treated with preventative for fleas, ticks, and parasites • Nails clipped Medical records will be provided. After everything she has endured, Nora deserves safety, love, and a warm home where she will be cherished for the rest of her life. Could that home be yours?
