Telly is a super affectionate 3-year-old, 7-pound Yorkie. He loves people, soaking up attention like an adorable little sponge. He will need a family to help him work on his manners (he likes to jump up--but he is 7 pounds, so who cares?!) and his house-training. We are hoping his recent neuter will help with that, but a consistent routine will be key. He will also need regular grooming to keep his coat looking its best. He has lived with kids and likes other dogs, but he can be a little over-enthusiastic when he gets excited (lots of licking and potential mounting). This may also lessen now that he has been neutered, but only time will tell! We think Telly would be fine with cats as well. Overall this adorable little nugget is going to make an excellent pet for some lucky family! We do NOT respond to PetFinder inquires; we only respond to emails sent to adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org regarding adoption inquires. We never know how quickly a pet will be adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in a pet but want to see them during our shelter open hours prior to filling out an application, we strongly recommend that you email us at adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org before visiting the shelter to ensure they are still there. Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10am-2pm for you to come view our adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during our open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need. Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and we’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
