Moonlight is a large, black domestic short hair senior cat, around 9 and a half years old, living in Cary, NC. She's spayed, vaccinated, reliably house trained, and wears a short, glossy coat. Moonlight does well with other cats and, despite her history, is ready for a patient adopter who will meet her where she is.

About Moonlight

Twilight and Moonlight, two curvy black panther sisters, lost their person and took it hard. They had adored her, and that loss shook them—so much so they needed a lot of time and patient care to start accepting love again. It was a rocky stretch; grief affected their eating, and anyone who’s had senior cats knows how touchy that can get. Thankfully, those difficult months are behind. Now they bask in the sun, enjoy gentle brushing, and want simply to be near someone steady. Moonlight will need a special person who understands: she and her sister come with memories of loss, and that shapes how they respond in a new home. Whoever adopts them should be gentle, patient, and ready for a slow build of trust. With time, these big-hearted girls open up and become exactly as affectionate as you’d hope. If you’ve got space for two seniors with some emotional history but lots to give, Moonlight (and Twilight) will be grateful to find their spot by your side. Fun fact: Moonlight is a Sagittarius, said to be adventurous but deeply loyal at heart. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
