Meet Cocoa Cocoa is a timid lady with a very gentle soul. The shelter can be a big, scary place, so she’s been a little nervous while she settles in—but every day she’s showing us a bit more of her sweet personality. Cocoa would love a patient adopter who can help continue socializing her and building her confidence. With time, kindness, and encouragement, she’s sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. In her previous home, Cocoa lived with kids and other dogs and did well. That said, because she can be shy, we always recommend respectful interactions and supervision around children as she adjusts to a new environment. One thing Cocoa is sure about—she loves food! She’s very food-motivated, which will make training fun and rewarding for both of you. According to her previous owner, she is almost fully potty trained and fully crate trained, giving her a great head start for her new home.
