About Nova
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Nova's story is one of perseverance and hope. Rescued in 2022 just before she was to be euthanized due to shelter overcrowding, she was barely a year old at the time. Now four years old, Nova has spent most of her life waiting patiently for her forever home, with only a handful of adoption inquiries that just weren’t the perfect fit. Her caregivers are dedicated to ensuring she finds not just any family, but the right one, because successful adoptions are their top priority and returning to the rescue would be heartbreaking for her. Nova would truly shine in a household as the only dog, though she might get along with another dog following a careful introduction. She should not live with cats or small animals. Nova’s love for people is unmatched—she absolutely adores children and bonds deeply with her humans. She’s a healthy, playful girl who enjoys daily walks and adventures, but a home with many stairs or steep climbs isn’t ideal for her long-term comfort. Car rides are a favorite activity, and she can’t get enough of her toys! Nova is also the ultimate cuddle bug, happy to settle onto her bed, chatter to you with her adorable “grunts,” and soak up as much affection as you’ll give. Nova has waited far too long for her chance at a loving, forever family. Could you be the one to complete her story? Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
