About Nova
Nova narrowly escaped euthanasia in 2022, saved just as she turned a year old. She’s spent nearly four years patiently waiting in Leon, KS, watching others find homes while her perfect family has yet to come. Nova is now 4 years old and has matured into a healthy, loving dog who bonds deeply with her people. She flourishes in a home where she can be the only dog, but with the right match and introduction, sharing space with another dog might be possible. Nova isn’t suitable for homes with cats or small animals. She truly lights up around kids and craves human attention, always happy to cuddle, go on walks, or hop in the car for rides. Her usual joy is punctuated by her happy “grunts” and a passion for toys and belly rubs. Steep stairs or lots of climbing aren’t ideal for her comfort but otherwise, Nova settles into lounge time just as easily as high energy play. She’s been waiting far too long for someone to give her a shot. Every animal deserves stability and a soft landing, and Nova still believes her family is out there.
