About Dorian
Dorian's story: Dorian was a feral cat that began regularly coming to our deck looking for food in July of 2025. From the beginning we could tell he was more friendly than a normal feral cat. He allowed us to pet him and briefly pick him up. Eventually he would come into our kitchen when we opened our back door and would eat breakfast in our kitchen with our indoor cats before wanting to go back outside. One morning we discovered he had a terrible wound on his backside and a limp. He easily allowed us to put him in a carrier and had zero fuss on the way to the vet. The vet determined he was most likely attacked by a dog and had a severe wound. Dorian was fully vaccinated, treated for any potential parasites, neutered, and his wound was stitched up. He has been recovering in our master bedroom, away from the other indoor cats. He immediately took to the litter box and had zero accidents around the room and is learning to play with cat toys. Dorian would be best suited to a home with adults because he is still learning how to play properly (he can get a little over zealous). He is indifferent towards other cats (doesn't seek them out to play but has zero negative reaction to other cats being around). Since he was attacked he should probably not be around dogs. He currently will not allow his nails to be trimmed because he is still learning how to be an indoor cat/ be comfortable with constrictive handling. He LOVES snuggling up on a couch or a bed.
