Princess is a 3-year-old female who came to us as a stray and is now looking for a patient, understanding home. At the shelter, Princess can show some defensive behavior at the front of her kennel if approached too quickly, but when given a calm, slow approach and the chance to come to you on her own terms, her sweet personality really shines. Once she feels comfortable, Princess enjoys attention and will happily purr, head bunt, and accept full-body pets. Before her recent spay surgery, she showed some increased stress in the shelter environment, but we expect her behavior to continue stabilizing now that her hormones have settled. Princess would do best in a quiet, adult-oriented home with experienced adopters who will respect her boundaries and allow her time to adjust. With patience and understanding, Princess has the potential to become a very loving companion.
