Meet Zara Zara is a 2-year-old cattle dog mix who came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed. She's an active girl with a bright personality and a sweet, friendly nature that staff have quickly grown fond of. Zara is easy to leash and has an adorable little routine-she'll bow her head while you leash her and happily prance right out of her kennel, ready for the next adventure. On walks she moves with excitement, but she's also very thoughtful; if she gets ahead of you, she'll pause and patiently wait for you to catch up instead of pulling you along. She has shown a calm and friendly demeanor around other dogs, and her gentle side shines through in the little things-like how she takes treats softly and politely. Like many cattle dog mixes, Zara has lots of energy, but it comes across in the sweetest way. She would thrive in a home that can provide activity, enrichment, and quality time to keep her happy and engaged
