She's very much like a puppy in that everything is exciting and new. Penelope came from a cruelty case. She was not properly socialized, so she is learning what boundaries are and how to just "be a dog." She leads all things with good intentions and a positive attitude. When she gets nervous, she calms herself by chewing on her chewbones. She does best in her crate when she can see her humans nearby. While she absolutely adores her humans, she also loves to play with other dogs. A confident dog in her future home would be great for helping her settle and learn routine. Because she is still learning appropriate play, she can get playful nippy with her humans, so she is looking for a home without younger kids.
