Meet Mea – Belgian Malinois Mea is the sweetest girl you could ever meet. She is incredibly affectionate and loves people of all ages, including kids. She gets along well with other dogs and truly enjoys being part of a pack. Mea loves to play fetch, run, and stay active. She's also a very fast learner and eager to please. If you already have a confident, well-balanced alpha dog in the home, Mea naturally falls right in line and learns quickly from them on how to fit in and be part of the group. Mea's story is a sad one. She was found wandering near Lake Tyler by one of my patients. It was clear she had recently had puppies, and it appears that someone dumped her there and kept the puppies. They even walked around their community playing sounds of puppies crying, hoping she might lead them to them—but sadly, there was no sign of them anywhere. Mea is around 2 to 21⁄2 years old. She does have one tiny flaw—a small area on her upper left lip where she is missing a little tissue. She may have been in a bad fight or possibly abused at some point. The good news is that you barely notice it unless she's smiling. T he person who found Mea loves her dearly, but sadly can no longer keep her. My patient is only 46 and has been through two major heart surgeries. After open-heart surgery two years ago, she underwent a heart transplant this past November. With the frequent trips back and forth to Dallas for medical care, it has become very difficult for them to properly care for Mea. Letting her go is absolutely breaking their hearts.
