She was found outside on a freezing cold day with a body temperature, 13 degrees below normal. Mimosa was warmed up at an emergency vet hospital and treated for eye infections and an upper respiratory infection. She was brought that evening for further assessment at the Parma Animal Shelter and sent home with her foster mom. Mimosa's first few weeks with her foster family were spent being medicated, swaddled and cuddled for naps, in and recovering in her own room with a humidifier, extra heater and heated bed. Her right eye shows some evidence of her illness, but she hunts and plays with stealthy precision. Mimosa is always exploring with her nose. She will come running when she hears her foster's voice calling ‘Baby. Mimosa enjoys naps and you will find her napping close to her humans in a sunny window perch to watch the wildlife. She is great with her older foster cat ‘brothers’. She has not been exposed to dogs or children, so we don't know her compatibility with them. Mimosa would do best with a quiet home to bond with her people. ‘Churro’ treats will lure her if she is playing hard to catch. Fill out an application online.
