True to her nickname “snuggle-o-saurus,” she absolutely adores being close to her people and will happily curl up on your legs, lean in for pets, or settle beside you for a cozy night in. If cuddling were an Olympic sport, Clara would bring home the gold. Clara thrives on connection and loves being part of the action in her home. She has been wonderful with the teens in her foster family and happily follows them around, always hoping to sneak in an extra pet or join whatever is going on. Whether it’s hanging out during TV time, relaxing nearby while you go about your day, or simply being included, Clara just loves being with her people. She also does beautifully with other dogs and clearly understands dog communication, making her a lovely companion in a home with canine friends. Clara enjoys meeting other dogs and sharing space with them, but she’s just as content soaking up attention from her humans. Clara is a smart girl who truly wants to be a “good girl.” She already knows commands like sit and responds well to direction, and she has even learned the command “go crate,” happily trotting into her crate when asked. She’s very motivated by treats and attention, which makes learning new things both easy and fun for her. In her foster home, Clara has shown herself to be a relaxed and easy companion. When it’s time to wind down, she’s perfectly happy finding a cozy spot (often the ottoman with a blanket) and settling in for a snooze before the next round of snuggles. Clara’s perfect day is simple: staying close to her humans, enjoying a few toys or chew treats, and finishing it all off with lots of cuddles.
