Meet Fiji Fiji is a 3-month-old aussie/hound mix puppy who came to the rescue as part of an unwanted litter of four. She is currently thriving in foster care, but she needs a dedicated home to ensure she can make her trip to Wisconsin and continue her journey toward a forever family. Fiji is a playful, sweet, and curious little pup who loves spending time with people and exploring her surroundings. Like most young puppies, she will need guidance with potty training, crate training, and learning household routines, but she is at the perfect age to learn quickly and bond with her new family. Fiji would do best in a home that can provide patience, consistency, and plenty of love as she grows into a confident and happy adult dog. She is affectionate, lively, and ready to become a cherished member of her new family. Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
