Meet Kohl – The Bird Dog Who Chose a Different Destiny 🐾 One of our wonderful Fairy Dogmother foster homes has welcomed a very special new boy named Kohl, a young male German Shorthaired Pointer who is beginning a new chapter in life. You see, Kohl has all the DNA to be an incredible bird-hunting dog. The instincts are there, the athleticism is there, and the drive is definitely there. There is just one small detail… Kohl does not like the sound of guns. His gentle spirit and sensitive heart simply outweigh what his hunting-dog DNA tells him he should love. And honestly, we think that just means Kohl was meant for a different kind of life. Now, if you put him in the backyard with squirrels, that is a whole different story. Kohl believes chasing squirrels may very well be the greatest sport ever invented. 🐿️ So while Kohl may not be destined for the bird field, we believe he is destined for something even better: A life as someone’s loyal best friend and adventure buddy. Kohl will be looking for a home where he can be an inside companion, a dog who goes everywhere with his person, enjoys the yard, the couch, and all the simple joys of being a beloved family dog.
