Meet Skeeter, a male Lab mix who would make the perfect companion dog. From the moment he walked into his foster home, he acted like he had lived there forever! Skeeter is a happy, affectionate pup whose excitement shows in his full-body tail wags - his whole back end gets involved when he’s greeting the people. He enjoys being close to his humans and will happily follow you from room to room, then settle in beside you for cozy couch snuggles. With gentle guidance, he’ll also relax nearby in the kitchen while you cook or sit down to eat. While he is partially housetrained, he is 100% crate trained. His foster family is currently helping him learn to let them know when he needs to go outside to potty. He is also starting to learn basic commands like sit and stay. Skeeter is energetic and curious outdoors and enjoys spending time exploring the yard and taking in his surroundings so he can feel comfortable and safe. He looks almost identical to his sister, and shares her sweet nature. Skeeter is friendly with other dogs and does well with small children, though it’s still unknown how he might do with toddlers or cats. He has a joyful personality and just wants to be part of the family.
