When he first arrived, he was a bit shy, but over the past two weeks, his confidence has grown tremendously. As he has settled in, his playful and loving personality has really started to shine. Merlin enjoys being close to his people and especially loves cuddling whenever he gets the chance. He has also done very well with his German Shepherd foster brother and enjoys having a canine companion to play with. Merlin loves chew toys and a good game of tug-of-war, which helps keep him entertained and engaged. Merlin can experience some separation anxiety, but his foster family has been actively working with him on building confidence when alone, and he continues to make progress. He is very treat-motivated, which makes training and positive reinforcement especially effective for him.
