About Riley
Riley is a dachshund and cavalier mix with a brown and white coat, weighing about 18 pounds—small but sturdy. He entered the rescue along with a pack of other dogs after his previous home became overcrowded. Riley attaches himself closely to his person and loves to curl up for cuddles, but he’s got a streak of mischief and will make off with shoes if given the chance. He’s even known to end up on the dining room table now and then. In a higher-energy environment, Riley did well, but in his current quieter foster situation he has shown some reactivity with other dogs and barks at outside noises and passersby. He may do best with a patient adopter ready to put some work into helping him build his confidence and work through his impulses on walks and at home. Riley gets along with dogs and children, and can live well among cats. He is house trained, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He’s in Coatesville, PA, waiting for someone dedicated to guiding him toward his best self. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
