Meet Surrey! This 2.5 year old Boston Terrier mix weighs about 20 pounds and is packed full of personality. Surrey is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and currently living his best life being fostered with our friends at Dogtopia, where he spends his days doing what he does best—playing with other dogs! He is extremely dog friendly and absolutely loves pups of all sizes. High-energy dogs and playful puppies are right up his alley, and he'd be thrilled to have a canine buddy in his future home. Surrey can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but don't worry—he warms up quickly and once he does, you'll see what a sweet, affectionate boy he really is. His confidence has been growing more and more each day. He LOVES treats, attention, and back scratches, and after a good play session you'll often find him happily sunbathing outside. He's also incredibly snuggly and just has that happy-go-lucky personality that makes everyone fall in love with him. Surrey is still working on learning the basics. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like his previous owner spent much time teaching him commands, so he'll need a family who's excited to help him learn things like sit, stay, and other beginner skills. The great news is that Surrey is very food motivated, which makes training much easier (treats are definitely the way to his heart!). And we have training contacts we can provide his new family. He's currently working on crate training and generally enjoys his crate time without much fuss, although he does occasionally have an overnight accident. His house training status is still unknown, but with a little patience and consistency he should catch on. Based on his friendly, gentle personality, we think Surrey would likely do well with kids, though proper introductions are always recommended. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Overall, Surrey is a playful, energetic, and loving little guy who just wants a family to continue helping him grow and thrive. Between his love for treats, dog friends, sunshine naps, and snuggles, he's sure to bring a lot of joy and laughter to his future home.
