Lorelei
AvailableLorelei is a young female Cockapoo, about 3 years and 6 months old, with a small frame and an apricot/beige coat. She is spayed and currently living in Broken Arrow, OK. Lorelei gets along well with other dogs and enjoys outdoor activities. She is looking for a quiet, patient home where she can continue to grow at her own pace.
About Lorelei
Lorelei is a beautiful, independent Cockapoo, still learning that people and the world can be safe. Since arriving in foster care last winter, she’s moved at her own pace, gradually opening up and showing more of her personality as she gets comfortable. She feels most at home around other dogs and truly comes alive at adoption events, eager to blend into a friendly pack. A confident dog companion in her next home will help her continue to build trust. She loves being outside, especially if she has a playmate—her favorite times include running with her neighbor-friend along the fence. Lorelei’s sweet side comes out with animals of all kinds, from squirrels and deer to possums. Lorelei needs a patient, understanding adopter who lets her approach things on her terms. She won’t run up for cuddles on day one, but with gentle consistency, she’ll blossom. Her foster mom describes her as curious and clever, especially when it comes to breakfast routines and “nose boop” greetings. When she’s ready to play, she makes it known. On leash, she walks beautifully and enjoys her outings. She has a playful, quirky streak and loves “chatting” with neighboring dogs, as well as reacting to sounds like sirens or airplanes from her yard. Because she’s still shy and quick on her feet, Lorelei will need a secure, fenced yard (a doggy door is a bonus), a quiet home, and a patient adopter who avoids chase games and offers her safety and time to adjust. She thrives with a calm household and someone around often, especially if paired with another friendly dog to guide her. Lorelei isn’t an instant, plug-and-play dog, but with the right person, earning her trust is incredibly rewarding. Watching her come out of her shell will be filled with small but meaningful victories. If you’re ready to offer a gentle, patient hand to a dog who needs space to adjust, Lorelei could be the companion for you. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
