About Lyonesse
Lyonesse Male MRQ# F9-25-4 DOB: 07/22/2025 Are you looking for a loving and playful fluffy boy, who is quite sure of himself? If so, you’ve found one! Lyonesse, usually known as Lion, would be delighted not just to play the lion king in a movie or play, but to be the lion king! He’s a loving but somewhat dominant fluffy, who is quite playful. Lion King O While most often, girl cats are called divas, not boys, Lyonesse is definitely a diva. He knows what he wants and will go straight for it. O Lyonesse is the ruler of the kitten room, not just of his litter, but of his little cousins too. O Lyonesse is going to do what he wants to do. He likes people and scratches, especially treats. Generally, he’s easy to bribe. But if he wants something, like a favorite feather toy, you’ll see him ignore everything else for that toy. If you pick him up, he’s probably going to hop out of your arms soon because it wasn’t his idea. Loving O Lyonesse will come right up to you for scratches and pats. Scratch his neck, and he’ll purr and purr for you. O Lyonesse likes to snuggle against people. He’ll snuggle against your legs, against your side, even behind your back if you’re sitting in a way he can get there. Lyonesse loves climbing under blanket tents, if you sit with a blanket on your legs and put your legs up for him to snuggle under. O If you want Lyonesse on your lap, all you have to do is get a fluffy blanket and put it on your lap. Then, he’ll run over and hop on. Lyonesse loves fluffy blankets. He likes to kneed them, often to mock nurse on them since he lost his mother young. If the fluffy blanket is beside you, he’ll sit beside you. You can choose where you want him. O Lyonesse loves other cats too. He’ll snuggle with his brother and sister, even with his younger cousins. Somewhat Dominant O Lyonesse is the leader of his litter and all the other kittens. If there’s play going on, he’s there. If you pull a toy for another kitten, he’s going to run over and probably try to take it, since all toys should be his first. When you get out wet food, he’ll follow you to where it usually goes, and if the other kittens don’t eat their food quickly, he’ll take it all. O Lyonesse is bold with other cats. If you have a larger cat who likes to play, Lyonesse will happily play with them. He was willing to play chase and wrestle with his elder nephew who was twice his size, and bop him away when the larger kitten wanted Lyonesse’s treat. O At the same time, Lyonesse isn’t pushy with older cats, just confident. When he meets his foster’s adult cats, he sniffs noses, then goes off to do what he wants to do, mainly explore their area and run all about. Playful O Lyonesse is very playful. He loves to play chase and wrestle with his siblings, cousins, and nephew, to play with toys like balls by himself, and to play with teasers. O If you pull a teaser, Lyonesse will bounce up into the air after it. Pull his favorite teaser, and you have his complete attention until he catches the toy and prances off proudly with it, that is. O If you toss a ball or a small toy, Lyonesse will chase it eagerly. Likewise, if you send the red dot of a laser pointer near him, he’ll race after it—across the floor, up the wall, on a sofa, wherever you send it. Fluffy O Lyonesse will probably be a medium haired cat like his mother, with a fluffy banner tail. You can tell by his ear hair and the extra tufts of fur on his feet. He already has a bit of a banner tail and extra fluff around his face. O Like most fluffies, Lyonesse’s fur is extra soft. O While Lyonesse is called a Nebelung mix, he’s probably only a knock off version. But he looks very much like the breed. Tragic Past O Lyonesse’s mother, a beloved feral, the matriarch of the local colony, was killed by a coyote when he was about 7 weeks old. Lion and his siblings managed to survive, by themselves, for the four or five days between their mother dying and them being trapped and brought in their foster’s home. O Lyonesse became tame very quickly. He loves attention and play. Not a Solo Cat O Lyonesse is not a solo cat. He needs a buddy. Lion has never been alone, without other cats, and he wouldn’t like it at all. O Lyonesse would love to be adopted with his short-haired sister, Avalon. She relies on him and copies what he does. So it would be much better for both of them to be adopted together. O However, Lion would be happy with another cat too, as long as the other cat would play with him—and not bite his tail. He doesn’t like smaller kittens who bite his tail. Meet O You can meet Lyonesse on Saturdays from 12 to 4 at the Meoowz adoption event at the Buena Park Petco or at his foster’s home by arrangement. Contact Carol by email at zanzimer@yahoo.com or by text or phone at 951-317-1736 to arrange a visit. Lyonesse will be happier if you meet him at his home because he doesn’t like adoption events. Side note O Lyonesse’s litter is named after Arthurian places. Lyonesse is a mysterious land, not a misspelling of lioness. He was named that because it had the obvious nickname of Lion. Even when he was first brought in from the wild, he looked and acted like a little lion cub. Lyonesse is healthy and ready to go! ✅ Neutered ✅ Up to date on vaccines ✅ Dewormed ✅ Microchipped ✅ Current on flea medication 📩 Interested in adopting?
